Inner Beauty

by Aly   Apr 7, 2005

You say that I'm ugly,
I don't really care.
A story of beauty,
This story I'll share.

There once was a man,
Whose clothes ripped and torn,
His hair oh so shaggy,
His feel of forlorn.

Out of church he did stand,
Through Sunday's attraction,
But the church had concluded,
He'd be a distraction.

Every Sunday he waited,
Oh how he did long,
To sit in the pews,
To listen to songs.

After months he still waited,
For service to end,
The minister noticed,
But wouldn't give in.

And to this day he waits,
His hair tangled long,
But nobody noticed,
He was Christ all along.
