Worlds Perfectionist

by Jacklyn   Apr 8, 2005

~ is quotation marks, since the computer will not let me have them

That cold morning in May,
I walked up to her grave,
I fell straight down to my knees,

For the thousandth time I read,
~In Loving Memory of Miss. Chloe Ann,
May 1986- May 2003,~

Tears weld in my eyes,
As i sighed in grief,
Kicked in the heart,
As sadness spilled out of me.

Out loud I began to pray,
~Dear God it is me, if you are listening,
Please let Chloe hear this, or deliver this immediately,

All my life I have been a perfectionist,
Making sure everything was done beyond my best,
Over 100% efforts,

Always making sure there was no better,
In my life it controlled me,
It was a weakness I considered good,

But believe me now,
I know I need help.
Tell Chloe happy birthday.~

I paused to breath,
Running my fingers over the engraved name,
It is proof of my biggest mistake,

One mistake I cannot erase,
Now every May i sit at your grave,
I sit at this stone and think of when my heart went cold,

Thinking back to 2003, calling with no answer,
Arriving with no breathing,
The hardest hit of reality,

The note left to read,
Tears still wet on your cold cheeks,
Two bodies and one heart beat.

To take your life the day you were born,
To let me drowned in a world of guilt,
Plus the hate in your note,

Chloe I may seem like a perfectionist to the world,
But the biggest mistake i will always hold,
The one area i failed the most,
Is I never loved you like a mother should.

=========================
it is just a way to show that you should spend your time loving and spending time with friends and family and that you do not need to make everything perfect
