And Little Girls Don't Cry

by elizabeth   Apr 8, 2005

The house is dark
The silence is nauseating
She lays alone on the couch
Footsteps move her way
She squeezes her eyes shut
Praying for sleep
As she curls into a ball
The footsteps stop
She hears his breathing
And wants to run
He lays his hand on her
She curls tighter
But he won’t have it
His strength overpowers her
So she gives up
And lets him take over
He slides his hand over her nipple
Each touch is like a plague upon her soul
As his hand moves down her body
She prays for death
Make him stop
How can God allow this?
He plays
Like a horny school boy
And there’s nothing she can do
But lay still
And hope it ends soon
All she thinks about is the betrayal
How can he do this to her?
She never asked for this
And she doesn’t want it
Finally he stands up and walks away
Like he didn’t’ just destroy her spirit
A way of depression crashes over her
Why didn’t she make him stop?
Well what could she do?
Tears form in the ducts of her eyes
She stands up
Makes her way to the kitchen
She sees what she needs
He killed her soul
Now she’ll finish the job
With each slash
She prays for death
Only wanting to end her pain
Tension releases
And her adrenaline subsides
She drops the knife
Why can’t she die?
It’s all she truly wants
To be in a place
Where people don’t betray
And little girls don’t cry
