Happy Birthday to my DAD©

On April 9 in 1949
there was a huge snow storm
my nan has a baby
a baby boy was born

This was my dad
who was born on that day
waht a journey he would have
from past to present day

My dad knew my mom Debbie
since she was 18
It took then 22 years
before they were finally married.

They had their ups and downs
but stuck by through and through
Together they have four children
and seven grandchildren too.

First granddaughter was Kendra
born in November \'88
It\'s hard to believe that next year
She\'ll be the first grandchild to graduate.

After just turning 41
she came on \"Black Friday\"
Stephanie was finally here
your second granddaughter was born on that day
it was also Good Friday.

Then four years later
in May \'94
you just came out of the elevator
when Mom told you that your first grandson was born.

Pam named him well
now didn\'t she?
When she said to me,
\"How\'s my nephew Vinnie?\"

Four months and eleven days later
grandson number two came
named after a famous hockey player
Curtis Joseph is his name

In August 1996
a phone call from Kitchener came
grandson number three was born
Jeremy Dean Christopher is his name

In May 1999
on Aunt Jella\'s 50th birthday
grandson number four arrived
Kameron Michael made his debut that day

On March 5th 2003
you received news about a new grandbaby
Little Nathan had finally came
but he came a little too early

Now two years later,
he\'s quite okay
He\'s got blonde hair, blue eyes
and quite a little belly!

The grandchildren all know and can see
that there is only one, the ONLY
Poppie Dean(or Poppie Buddy!)
