a graveyard’s light
feel the sorrow
the moon’s delight
painful tomorrow

a rushing feeling
what to do
mind is reeling
her thoughts untrue

cross the field
hopeless depression
secrets revealed
answer the question

pray for peace
i pray for you
ask for love
feelings overdue

watching the night
pass her by
she begins to leave
and slowly die

precious moments
given away
one last heartbeat
in the ground i lay

memories forgotten
feelings that hide
my life is finished
nothing left inside

a cool summer breeze
on a hot muggy night
hovering the grave
no one in sight
