Life is good
Life is great
It can be full of love
Or full of hate
Life is filled with both pleasure and pain
And people hoping for some personal gain
Life is full of money,
Which leads to greed
And, quite possibly, the need for "speed"
There are some, though, who are not greedy
Choosing instead to help the needy
Life is full of diversity
Different races, religions, and creeds
A true "melting pot" indeed!
All come seeking the "American Dream"
No matter how distant it may seem
Life is full of corruption
And those who get ahead
On the stomachs and lives of others who go unfed
If only we knew
If only we could see
That there's more to life than "me, me, me"
