Everybody Hurts

Everybody Hurts

Time for you to realise
Your story was told before
I know they didn't hurt as much
But it's still the same internal war

You need to start understanding
There's nothing new to add
What's the point in repeating
A history someone else has had

So, you wear your scars
Someone else has cut deeper
It only shows on the outside
And that's not the way to keep her

For every black hour
Another soul's was blacker
When you turned back the clock
Did it even really matter?

There's no new beginning
To displaying your tragic end
Better face up to facts
Live life or play pretend

You've borrowed your muse
And jaded your soul
But for every hurt displayed
It will never make you whole.

I love this one. I wrote one poem kind of like this...but I can't remember the title right now. Good idea to write about. Keep up the good work and thank you for the comment you left on my poem. Tata
