You said that you loved me And it'd be alright That you wouldn't hurt me When I came with you that night We had a good time watching t.v. I could tell you really loved me You never told me How your parents are you told me that basketball is how you got the scars But when you parents came home I saw it in your eyes You were scared And I wondered why Your parents started yelling And grabbed you by the arm As I sat on the couch Away from the harm They beat you with a paddle And sent you to your room There I knew You would face your doom They yelled at me to leave I left before I was abused I went to your window And saw that you were bruised You begged me not to leave So I hid behind a tree I could know whats going on I could clearly see They ran into your room And beat you till you bled They whipped you with a belt And threw you on the bed I'm sorry I did nothing But as I watched the more I hated I lay there helplessly As my heart deflated After awhile they left you Bleeding on your bed And with your last words This is what you said I'm sorry that you saw that I wish I could take back time But please don't get mad They know not of their crime And with that you told me to leave I went home and cried on my bed And as of the next morning You were declared dead
