Angels at play

The day i fell pregnant,
my heart was filled with joy,
i was going to have a baby,
would it be a girl or boy?

You were the perfect baby,
with ten fingers and ten toes,
you had the cutiest face,
complete with button nose.

I'd hoped to have you always,
and grant your every wish,
to comfort you in times of hurt,
with just a simple kiss.

But one night as you lay sleeping,
the angels came to play,
they fell in love with your sweet face
and carried you away.

They left behind your body,
and to me you looked the same,
but you didn't even smile at me,
as i whispered your sweet name.

They knew that god would welcome you,
being such a spacial soul,
but i didn't have you long enough,
you were only 4 months old.

Now you are in gods care,
in a new and happy home,
i hope there are lots of children there,
so you wont feel alone.

And i although my heart is heavy,
And one day me grief may pass,
ill never forget your bony face,
or your infections little laugh.

My darling ill always love you,
And one day ill see you there,

i leave you in gods care.
