Too Long

Oh, how it’s been too long
Now silence fills my voice
I’m so sorry for how I have wronged

Now, I don’t know what to think
Passing thoughts seem to linger
I’m constantly on the brink
My heart gets torn asunder

Memories don’t seem to fade away
Not like they used to
I stare at the emptiness in dismay
I don’t know what to do

There are no more pages left in the book
No more ink in the pen
Still so much to say
But no one would understand

Bloodshot and teary eyed
I look toward the sky
Something inside me feeling so wrong
Oh how it’s been too long

The starts shine mockingly
Looking down upon me
I fall to my knees
Infected by the worst disease

Tears fall down my face
I whisper all of my mistakes
Remembering them with such disgrace

So many times I have tried to say
The things I have tried to show u
I’m falling apart in every way

All my promises I have kept
Your secrets remain untold
So many tears I have wept
I’m feeling like mold

I sit upon the rain

I’m the only one to blame
I’m the only one who bleed

The sky has forsaken me
I scream in hope that you could hear
The bitter pain I’m in
The pouring rain covers your ear

I’m left all alone here
Once again your halo does not shine
