Rain

by Lmay   Apr 9, 2005

Standing in a padded room,
glass shreds my mind,
I wish for something to release
the pain I can not find.

I am numb to this safety.
Numb to this care,
Trade it all in just to feel.
For the pain I can prepare.

I meditate my soul,
Concentrate on the pain,
the more I seem to cry,
the harder it will rain.

In the darkness I hide,
Lying about myself to you,
In the sunlight I darken,
I can't tell you what is true.

I am numb to this hurt.
Numb to this care,
Wish I could be real,
for the shock I can prepare.

I meditate my soul,
The more scars I gain
The deeper the thoughts,
The harder it will rain.
