Helpless Mother

by Sarah   Apr 9, 2005

She crys every night
For the walls only to hear
His life comes to mind
then down rolls another tear

She locks herself in her room
lying alone on her bed
she hears his voice
but it's all in her head

Her eyes are swollen
her heart is bleeding
his love
is what she's needing

The pain isn't stopping
it just grows more and more
each and every day
her heart becomes sore

Why did that night come?
that drunk driver took her son's life
and now all she can think about
is this pain and strife

Though she feels this pain
something helps her cope
the thought of him in heaven
Always brings new hope.
