Eternity With You

Heaven must be such a peaceful place.
Where the heart is healed and mind is at rest.
A place so magical and mysterious.
Reserved only for the best.
Heaven must be such a happy place.
Where smiles are worn for eternity.
That must be why so many wish to go there.
To be through with this earthbound misery.
I imagine angels dancing around those who reside there
And praise he who graces the throne.
Who tells them not to worry,
For their loved ones will be with them soon.
All of their doubt is settled
And pain is taken away.
Their burdens now lifted
And souls resting in a much better place.
There they see old friends and family
Who they were forced to say good-bye to long ago.
Now they embrace them with open arms
And tearfully welcome them home.
Their sins are forgiven
And their health renewed,
As they walk along the sidewalk paved in gold
And trees adorned with jewels.
The clouds so soft and weightless
Where they can finally rest their weary heads.
Watch over and protect their loved ones
As they mourn for their death.
What a glorious sight it must be
To see the Savior in flesh and blood.
The man who gave his life
And blessed us with his love.
I know you're finally happy
And now understand why you were taken there.
I just wish it wouldn't have happened so soon,
Cause we all miss you terribly down here.
Heaven must be such a perfect place
Where every believer is chosen to dwell.
I just pray that I will be worthy
To spend eternity there with you as well.
