Predicted Rejection

by Samantha   Apr 9, 2005

I want you to hold me,
To feel your sweet touch,
I want you to know me,
I need you so much.

I stay here in hiding,
Stowing my heart away,
Until you come for me,
Right here will I stay.

My heart beats fast for you,
My soul is so weak,
I want so much to hold you,
To just hear you speak.

I needed and wanted you for so long,
I thought that I had you where did we go wrong?
Now I stay in the corner turning others down,
I want to seem lonely when you come around,
This innocent look I have in my eyes,
I only keep there to hide my thick pride,

I still want you and need you but, what can I say,
The only fear I have is to be turned away.

the beggining sounds nice and i think it could be a really nice poem, but lose the slang, it sounds so immature.
