I turned around.
My eyes pleadingly searched for you.
My ears listened intently for you.
My lips called longingly for you

but...you were gone.

I closed my eyes.
My empty arms reached for you
My aching body yearned for you
My lonely heart cried out for you

no one heard my heartbreaking cries
no one lovingly caressed my face and hair
no one embraced me in tender,loving arms

My heart shattered
there was no one there to repair it
there was no one present to witness it
there was no one capable of healing the deep pain within it

when i looked for you why weren't you there?
