Snow of Lace

by Aly   Apr 10, 2005

The sun and the moon,
Rose and set,
And to this day,
He will never forget.

She tucked her hair,
Up in a bow.
And walked along,
The moonlit snow.

He held her hand,
As they both traced,
The reindeer tracks,
I the snow of lace.

He looked right at,
Her bright red face,
Then glanced around,
At the beautiful place.

They walked nearby,
To a bench they rest.
A hand-knit scarf,
Lay across her chest.

Oh so innocent,
She looked at the snow,
She didn't feel right,
She had to go.

He sat in dismay,
She had tears in her eyes.
She stood up politely,
And said her goodbyes.

She tucked her hair,
Up in a bow,
And walked along,
The moonlit snow.
