A heartbeat never lies

by Steevens   Apr 10, 2005

I'm not looking for a wife
But for a bed to spend the night
For a heartbeat next to mine
If that's alright
Sure it's true I'd like to party
But I'd rather rest my head
You've got a pretty little body
But that'll be there when you're dead

This may sound pessimistic
But I've got a new found hope
That I'll always be alone
That may not make much sense
But then there's not much pain
And the only one to blame
Is myself

I'm not looking for a future
I'm just taking the next step
Toward tearing out the sutures
That are holding back my breath
I've never trusted words
But a heartbeat never lies
I've heard yours
And it tells me that you're mine
