You Remember

by The Plain Truth   Apr 10, 2005

*confused at the time...*

With this pencil that I write,
I talk about my pain and strife,
And in this dreadful life I live,
I wish that all will soon forgive.

Forgive me for each smile I fake,
And for all the lives I did forsake,
I’m sorry for never being enough,
And giving up when things got tough.

But this is me, nothing more,
I’ll close my eyes and shut the door,
I’ll hide enclosed in these four walls,
And never come out to roam these halls.

Alone I’ll stay to sit and rot,
And wonder if I’ve been forgot,
So lock your memories, toss the key,
But deep inside, you’ll remember me.
