Confessions of a Vampiress (Pt.II)

by *rêve_cassé*   Apr 11, 2005

Buried in the darkness,
the stagnant smell of death
and the fragrance of decay
slowly take o'er my breath.

light will blind me,
chafe my eyes,
make it so i only
can just hear his cries.

he cries in agony
angst and pain
wishing he could
make the light wane.

our eyes are fragile,
and our skin is pale.
and when we try to die
all we do is fail.

a castle high up in the mountains
is where we're forced to live.
where we're forced to love
and where we're forced to give.

to give each other that fatal kiss
every night and day.
the scars line up my neck
they'll never go away.

he said we'd be this way
hiding from the start.
trying to find a better life,
or from life depart.

wings grow from our backs,
in excrescence so painful.
and when I cry out,
me to peace will he lull.

so maybe someday
our lives will just end,
or maybe someday,
our lives will I mend.
