Hailey's Death 12.06.03

by Jesse Ray   Apr 11, 2005

In her pure black dress I dropped a single tear
Her voice is the only thing I want to hear
The coffin slowly descends into the ground
Now I have a story, waiting to be found

It all started one evening, in a random party
We drank shot after shot of Whiskey and Bacardi
We started to walk home, not knowing which way
A car speeding up, causing Her to go astray

Not knowing what happened, I slowly crashed
Her on the ground, turning into ash…
Waking up the next morning, on a hospital bed
My sister telling me what Her parents said.

“She died three in the morning, earlier than dawn.
Exactly seven hours ago… She was gone…”
We were both inseparable, until her dying day
I wanted to say goodbye, but that; I couldn’t say
