To you,

by Vancylin   Apr 11, 2005

To you,

What's a ladder without a rung?
no one will ever climb higher

What's a song that isn't sung?
The soul just scorches dryer

If there exists no dark, there is no reason for light.
So I'll weather the dark, for you with a fight.

You're my ladder's rung, and my song to be sung.
so we'll climb high together, with music in our lung.

And if it falls through our fingers like sand,
I'll hold onto your hand, and together we'll stand.
