Heart

by Kristy Green   Apr 11, 2005

A quiverless soul
marching up to pay its toll
far ahead, lies the road
endless, shapeless
embodied in in its own hold
shapeshifts, into this fitful mold
it glides, rides into less
takes the shape; less
hidden all and more
behind this tearsome, dark drape

fights no fight-
let be what must be
for this, all too much of nothing
must i see?
withering deep, lies the once blossomed flower-
my heart
but, no longer has it stayed
it has shrivled by your poisoness dart
it\'s no longer alive
it has fitfully faded
it has died
lonely, beats this sore heart, now
cries it must

for it\'s the only way it knows how
wish it dead?
limp, hard, solemn as lead
stays it now; this heart
should of known it would die
from the start
long, whispered nights
no more
for you had left too long before
never shall it be once more
for you it will beat, no more
for it beats, no more

heart, be quiet
love has gone
shhh, only whispered cries
for now, it will be nothing like it
never be
nothing like before
no, not once more
cries will be done- yes
aches, soon will pass
heart, shhh... be quiet
heart, shhh.. it will never be nothing like it
heart, shhh.. don\'t cry
heart, shhhh. please don\'t...
