Pieces

by Jacklyn   Apr 12, 2005

The puzzle of my life,
100 Pieces sit up right,
First the straight edges to build the frame,
Then the rest for my pictures complete.

One fitting perfectly with another,
But some to big, small, short and long,
Each with its meaning and memory,
All something special in me.

One piece for first love,
First kiss and hug,
One for senior prom,
Another for sneaking into movies,

Another for being caught,
One for never listening,
And one for sneaking repeatedly,
Can\'t forget one for lying to out parents again.

And hours at the mall,
Another for breaking curfew,
And pretending to be sick to miss school,
That health test to never do!

Another for your life,
Of cuts and scars,
Of abuse you never shown,
The horror you never told,

The life you lived at home.
But the problem I now face,
All the dreams we always shared,
You were always there,

As they slowly disappear.
New plans to take its place,
But my picture will never be complete,
Because you are the missing piece.
