My Window

by Taylor Porton   Apr 12, 2005

I stare out the window and I see life
all its amazing wonders so beautifully made
So amazing and perfect, despite all the strife
I'd love to lay down under willow tree's shade

I stare out the window and watch days pass
time slowly dwindling down the hours
I wonder what its like, to be the grass
I'd love to grow among the flowers

I stare out the window and gaze at the trees
I close my eyes and feel the wind sigh
I watch them dance in the gentle breeze
I can't imagine arms reaching the sky

I stare out the window and see so much
Such amazing things: sight, sound, and touch

Excellent poem. I liked it a lot... It put me in a different place. I know how you feel, sometimes I just look out the window and wander off to a different place... Nice job on this one. Full points. Thanks for the comment on my comment.. I think? Anyways, check out more, I think you'd like them. Great poem.
