A Place For My Head

by Kristy Green   Apr 12, 2005

It's lonely here
in this world
we've created
two for you
and none for me
it's not my kind of life
this is not how it's
supposed to be

she gets your heart
I get your body
she gets your love
I get your lust
she gets your tears
I get your fears
she gets your soul
I get your thoughts and dreams

and right beside you
everynight
she lays her head
I'm grateful to get you in bed
and she doesn't have a clue
to the true you

you do me right, baby
you do me wrong
you love me tonight
then it's so long

I'm anxious waiting
for you call
here on some long, lonely
night
I get you on the low
while she has it all

It's just not right
that I get you only at night
but if that's all I get
then that's it
and it's got to be alright
even if it's only a little bit

I'd be in heaven
if right beside you everynight
is where I layed my head
in my bed
