My Lady In Black

by Timothy Bledsoe   Apr 13, 2005

I see her from afar
I approach but she's not there
She's in my head
Her memory follows me everywhere

Driving in my car
She's sitting in the next seat
Her hand in mine
This feeling can not be beat

But I remember she's gone
My eyes feel the heat
This feeling of love
Time can not defeat

I gave her everything
From my time to my soul
I try to forget her
But she's taken her toll

She loved me once
I loved her back
She owns my heart
My lady in black
