Thank You

I get ready to take a shower, turning the water cold
thinking thatt i will be able to feel it, feeling bold

but the water has no effect, my body goes numb
i drop to my knees as i start to wonder how come?

as i struggle to get to my feet, i push myself to the top
i cant feel anything, and when i stand up straight i stop

i think of how my life has become so lost
i get out, dry off, go to bed and i turn and toss

my nightmares haunt my thoughts, I'm not sure what to do
but my mind calms down, when my mind flashes a picture of you

it is you that i think of, that brings joy to my heart
i start to come together when i was torn apart

thank you, for being there when i needed you most
thank you my friend for letting me love you and being so close
