In a world of media so loud and bright

by Sabine Taylor   Apr 13, 2005

A living love story
A great memory
A gate to new dimensions
Of knowledge
Is hidden behind this binder
Is it not a tragedy
That this prized media
Is going to be forgotten soon ?
In a world turning so fast
With media so loud and bright
With films so entertaining
And bad news all around
Every hour

But if you see
Take a look
Then you discover
A media so simple
But so powerful
It can agitate your feelings
It lets your thoughts drift away
Gives you new ideas
Takes you on a ride
Into a new world
We call fantasy

It should entertain you
As much as a film
Or even more
Because a book
Can do everything with you
It makes you burst out of laughter
It makes you cry
It gives you hope
It makes you confused
It makes you smile
It makes you excited
It makes you blue
It makes you interested
And mostly books
Let us alone
After the first read
With new ideas
With new thoughts
With new impressions

Is it not a tragedy
That this media
Made out of a simple material
An aid to entertain us
So cheap, but useful
And instructive
Will soon be forgotten
In our world turning so fast
With media so loud and bright
And bad news all around
Every hour
