I love you mum

by Sophie   Apr 13, 2005

A sweet little girl but a selfish nature,
A kind heart inside but a cold exterior,
An intelligent mind with abused ambitions,
A future ahead, but so many bad renditions.

Her mother cried for her little girl,
But it wasn't her fault it was the world,
It was harsh and cold and pulled her in,
What was left of the sweet little girl was nothing.

So many mistakes broke her families hearts,
So many mistakes left her alone in the dark,
People stopped caring but they couldn't see,
That confused little girl was still only me.

So much pain, so many tears,
Over something we thought would last for years,
But the fog soon cleared, we all could see,
That confused little girl really was me.

Things started to change, we were smiling again,
But it didn't last long, to come was more pain,
Still so confused, still out there alone,
Although I hide it now, the scars aren't gone.

14 years old, and still not a clue,
I'm yet to realize all I need is you,
My mum, my hero, The person who cares,
The person who tells me she'll always be there,

Its so stupid, I'm waiting, on what I already have,
I'm longing so much for someone I already love,
So maybe in time Ill pick myself up,
But until then, I love you mum please don't give up.
