The Traveler

Good day to you my friend
I believe this is not the first time we have met
For your face does seem quite familiar
Yet your name I cannot set

I have seen you walk the streets
With your eyes to the sky
You always did seem lost in thought
And I wonder why

These past days have taken many years
Out of your life, I see
For your walk is now a limp
Makes it hard for you to flee

You do seem quite misterious
Long scars spread across your face
Brandishing your silver sword
Still your name I cannot place

You do seem out of breath
You must have ran quite far
What is it that frightens you?
What has made that scar?

You must be quite a warrior
Clad in armor, skilled with death
Seen many battles
Taken many people's last breath

You are filled with troubles
I can feel deep within your soul
Whatever it is that worries you
Left a great hole

I can feel your life crumple
As you fall to the ground
Alas, your mind is in peace
The silence is profound
