Ripples

by katie!   Apr 14, 2005

Cuts upon her arms, a name engraved upon her heart
As she falls out of the race, she was doomed from the start

Scars on her wrists hidden under her smile so sad
Pain in her heart, standing back, as she slowly gos mad

Holding her close, in an embrace don't want to let go
Those crimson tears she crys, red blood that does flow

Eyes so deep, you could fall into them and drown
Picking her up, Yet she just keeps falling down

She walks along, on her own down the street
Listening to the echoes of her tired feet

Smiling when she is around family and friends
Why won't they see the darkness which never seems to end

Beautiful girl, as she faces her life
A lone soldier, alone in the fight against her strife...
