Alone

On this road of life I walk alone,
Forced to contend with the demons in my head,
Felt forsaken by the hand life has dealt,
Learned to walk through life myself,
Felt forsaken by family and friends,
Programmed to suffer and never end,

Wondering if the world will ever atone,
Laying wide awake in my death bed,
Staring at the cobwebs on the ceiling,
Make me aware Ill always be alone,
Stuck with the same old feeling
Listening to the whirlwinds of my empty soul,

Forced to lay my cards on the table,
I walk another day alone,
Amazed how I manage to keep my life stable,
So I return to my deathbed,
And stare at the cobwebs on the ceiling,
To make me aware I am alone.
