Getting drunk on the weekends,
with him close to her heart.
Trying to drink her pain away,
there was no where else to start.
"I love you, I promise."
It gets her all the time.
Drinking and drinking,
trying to get him off her mind.
He's breaking her heart,
and it'll cost him her life.
She wanted so much,
just to be his dear wife.
His memory begins to fade,
each and every passing week.
With a bottle in her hand,
she fell down to her knees.
Crying loudly in the floor,
someone had to hear her say:
"I did it for him;
i drank my pain away."
They found her in the living room;
a bottle in her hand.
They say, "She never had the strength,
to get up and stand."
The news spread quickly;
he found out within the week.
Hiding the beer on his breath,
he fell down to his knees.
This poem is to my ex-boyfriend
he knows who he is,
he hurt me too bad, i couldnt cope!
