Bruised Clay Heart

by Megan   Apr 15, 2005

Our kiss was like a spark
That set our hearts ablaze
Burning high and hot
Our emotions running plays

"We go too close"
Is what you said
You pushed me away
Leaving tears to be shed

The fire was gone
It left not a trace
Except burns and scars
And that look on your face

About a year has past
And I saw you today
It made my heart weak
Like it was made of clay

You held me tight
For a few minutes or so
Our bodies close
Before you let go

I missed you so much
The tears started to come
I thought the spark died
And left you feeling numb

You hide your emotions
Making me confused
I can't see what you feel
I'm left aching and bruised

My heart is still weak
When I think of you
You won't open up
So what can I do?
