The Mind

by Peter Williams   Apr 15, 2005

Silence…
Silence…
Nothing but silence.
I lay on my bed,
Thinking thoughts.
As I lay there,
My mind becomes a bee’s nest full of commotion,
Every thought buzzing in my mind.
Silence…
Silence…
More silence.
I can’t sleep…
I can’t sleep…
Why?
Suddenly my mind stops,
And there is only one image in it,
You.
Your hair…
Your lips…
Your eyes…
Why?
Why are you in my mind?
