A Promise I Broke

A Promise I Broke (Joe)

I drive in the blade, I drive it in deep
To let out the pain, out it will seep

Today I will die, alone in this room
This high school toilet I make my tomb

These letters in blood, your name I make
How much pain, how much can I take?

I’m fading away from this world I hate
And when you find me it will be too late

It fills me with fear to think what comes next
I’ll write it all down, its here in this text

This blood is alight, a river on my arm
I hate myself for this, I hate my self-harm

I don’t mean to cut deep, I just can’t stop
I wanna drain myself dry, from every last drop

And when I’m bone-dry, when I’m stone-dead
You’ll find my lying in all the blood I bled.
