Loving Your Best Friend

by Miss Rinoa   Apr 15, 2005

It is not right
to have your hand in mine,
and mine in yours.
To churn inside with
an incomparable passion,
cheeks hot and flushed from
the simple thought of you.
The way my palms
perspire with your touch;
the way my lips naturally
curve upward with your smile -
no, it is not right.

It is not right
how your gaze melts with mine,
and mine with yours.
How I may escape in your eyes,
losing myself in complete
and utter happiness;
everything else becomes irrelevant.
No, it is not right.

For the complications of
a love entangled with another
puts too much at risk:
a heart, a friendship, a lover.

It's just not right.
What we have is not right.
We are not right.
