You Say

by Lauraballz   Apr 15, 2005

Hold me close when storms break out upon my life;
You say we need this sadness to appreciate the better times.

Whisper words of faith to my hopeless ears;
You say this torture brings sweetness that makes out lifes less boring.

Read every chapter my sorrow has written;
You say there's a secret fulfilment we seek from our heartache.

Watch the rain from my eyes collide with the page;
You say there's something beautiful about the marks they leave behind.

Reach out your weary hand to hold my chin up;
You say there's a certain allure about crying in your sleep.

Wipe away my tears and ask me not to cry;
But I won't answer until you tell me once again that misery is beautiful.

xXx

    Hmm the way the beginnings work together is quite freaky Laura, love this poem another nice one but that's probably just because its depressing :S
