Sadden Eyes

by Jacklyn   Apr 15, 2005

The angel sat on the bed,
Next to the lonesome man,
With a shotgun tightly gripped within his hand,
His life he would hopefully end.

No angel did he see,
Along he believed,
God’s gift of comfort,
But the angel couldn’t intervene,

The angel will die with him,
To prove he wasn’t lonely,
This angel will sacrifice her life,
To prove to this man he was loved.

But his thoughts continued sadly,
Bringing him closer to his death,
The angel’s white wings grew to black,
As her halo became very dim.

The man began to cry,
As sorrow filled the angel’s heart,
Thought came close to pulling the trigger of the gun,
As the angel understood there is no turning back.

The man brought the gun up to his head,
To soon end all his agony and pain,
The decision he just made,
Will kill him and the angel today.

The man pulled the trigger tight,
To wake with an angel by his side,
She was an angel never described,
Through her eyes shown all the sadness of the meaning of life,

Her halo dimly shown,
Her sadden eyes were gloomy and dull,
Her black wings were ruffed up,
This angel did her job; taking one more suicidal to God.
