Playing together as a team

Today in PE class
we were on the same team
we were on the same field
we were so close to each other
i felt like i had to play my best
i felt like i didn't want to disappoint you
i needed to win
i needed to show you that i could do it
it's painful i can't tell you
it's painful i have to watch you talk to me each and every day
and not know how i feel deep inside
but we play together so perfectly
we play together so well as a team
i just wonder what it would be like if we were together
but I'll never win
I'll never get you
cause am just not the person your looking for
am just not the perfect guy you always wanted
so i guess forever I'll play with you as a team
and leave my painful love thoughts inside my deep self....
