Childhood

When i was just a little girl
i thought i owned the whole wide world...
I played with dolls and played in ditches ,
and amost always tore my britches.
I was wild and touch and a real tom boy,
and never liked to play with toys.
I had a cave up in the woods,
and always went there when i could.
I like to play outside at night,
and watch the little fireflies light.
I was so happy way back then,
gee i wish i could be a little girl again.
