Murder's Desire

by Lost Girl   Apr 16, 2005

Isolated within this vast expanse
No one else to hear me scream
Cries of terror from my throat
Won’t you wake me from this dream?

His hands so strong around my neck
My icy body so frail under his
Breath trapped deep in my heart
On my frosty lips I feel his kiss

Screams are useless, he has control
I try to lift him from me
So malicious, strong and powerful
Failing attempts to run to safety

Stars twinkle above my head
But not above where he lays
Counting down the seconds
Ignoring the words he says

His breath so hot upon my face
I curl and squirm away from him
All endeavors toward freedom
Are unsuccessful, so he will win

Cannot speak one word
Try to utter under my breath
“Alone I cried to you for help,
to save me from my death”

No footsteps in the distance
Or voices call my name
Blacking out below him
As his plays this awful game

He has a firm hold upon my heart
So as not to let me break free
I don’t think he knows
That his lust is killing me

Drowning below the sirens
As I hear the cars drive by
Not one person hears me
Yet these silent tears I still cry

One final thing I hear him say
“Thank you for being you,
you followed me and trusted me,
you’re stupid, nothing I said was true”

Life is slipping so fast away from me
I feel something cold inside my chest
All my memories flash through me mind
As he puts my soul at last to rest

He knife they found, the one he used
Still warm and blood stained red
He never even got to know me
And so because of him I am dead

*Not a true story, I felt like writing a poem about the subject though*
