Her Perfect Life...

by sarah k   Apr 16, 2005

Her perfect blue eyes
Her skin so fair
Those perfect red lips
Her perfect blond hair.
Her perfect school record
Her boyfriend that’s great
Her perfect physique
A life you can’t hate.
She walks down the hall
Full of poise and with grace
You can’t help but notice
The perfect smile on her face.
She is the one
You wish you could be
You can’t help but say
“I wish that was me”
But what you don’t know
Is what you can’t see
Like the cuts on her wrists
Caused by insanity.
And don’t you forget
The home full of hate
It’s sad that such a pretty girl
Has such a horrible fate.
She cries herself to sleep at night
And wishes she were dead
She thinks of ways to kill herself
She plots them in her head
So is this the girl you want to be?
The one with all the grace?
Or have you learned to look beyond
The smile upon ones face?
