Spectator

by Tiera   Apr 17, 2005

If minds could be read
as if they were books,
you would know how I feel,
you would see that I'm hooked.
To your smile, your words,
the things you do.
Your brown eyes, your lips
and the way you move.
If you knew me well,
you could see it in my eyes,
when you talk to me,
when you walk by.
But unfortunately,
you can't read minds
so you don't know that
I desire your time.
Unfortunately,
I'm just another friend,
and friendly signals
are the only ones I can send.
They force me
to watch from a distance
and you'll never know,
that to you I meant to send this.
