A portrait for you

by Tiera   Apr 17, 2005

My pencil is my brush
let me paint you a picture.
Using my words,
adjectives and verbs,
I'll make you a portrait.

The sun says good-bye
creating a Tye-dye sky.
Orange with strips of purple and pink.
Now the sun lies on the brink
of the horizon, as it lies in
a tropical colored sky.

My pencil is my brush
let me paint you a picture.
Using my words,
adjectives and verbs,
I'll make you a portrait.

One last drop drips
as the residue of rain
leaves everything looking plain.
Until I look up and see
the symbol of Gods promise to me.
Various colors, in the same sky, standing as one.

My pencil is my brush
let me paint you a picture.
Using my words,
adjectives and verbs,
I'll make you a portrait.

Azure colored waves
move up
warm tan sand.
A cool wind blows,
someone grabs your hand.

My pencil is my brush
let me paint you a picture.
Using my words,
adjectives and verbs,
I made a portrait for you.
