Chances

I once took a walk on the edge
With bad luck I lost my balance
and fell
I sat still, hoping no one would see
the pain, hurt and humiliation
the deep cuts are the worse
than the bruises on the outside
Everyone found out I fell
But didn\'t care how I felt
No one cared, they laughed
My ego got lost
But I grew strong
and walked away
