Waiting and still waiting…

by SammiBABY   Apr 17, 2005

A crisp November day,
Can you see it in your heart?
A Thursday I recall,
That threw your words apart.

In just three and a half minutes,
My point was proved,
And the doubt you closed in my heart,
Was so swiftly removed.

Simple words, but at perfect time,
Flawless melody, hit me with a chime.

And all I want is to share,
Those words I heard that day,
That collided with my hate,
And scared the faithlessness away.

And I’ve seemed to wait forever,
For the day to come along,
When this country can rejoice
In this beautiful song.

And each day it is coming,
Excitement will come on this date,
Until the gorgeous June the 3rd,
My ecstatic mind has to wait.
