Last Chance

by Ashley   Apr 17, 2005

I've left this world to escape the pain
And left you with a reminder: blood stain.
All I ever wanted was for you to love me
To glance at me and not look through but truly see.

Your answer to every problem was money.
Well, that didn't do a damn thing for me
Cuz all I needed was you to be in my life
But that never happened; you basically handed me the knife.

At least now I won't have to put a show on for you
Pretend everything is ok without you ever having a clue.
I tried everything, did so much to please you
It was never enough and that I always knew
But I chose to believe that you could change
Mom knew you couldn't but I believed: so strange
How for some reason I shose to be naive
Now I drop like an autumns falling leave.

Well here I lay as blood pools at my sides
Slowly ascending to the world above
To watch you struggle against the growing tides
And allow you to somehow find true love.

That's all it took was one life ended
Now you've pieced everything back together and mended
My blood will continue to flow as long as you live
This was your last chance, so my life I had to give.
