Fathers Day

Daddy Never Calls
He Doesn't Support The Family
I'm Sadder Than Depression
And Lower Than Low Can Be

Daddy Never Writes
He Never Does Come Home
He Never Makes It His Duty
To Even Pick Up The Phone

Daddy's Days Tomorrow
I've Got a Great Idea
I'll Bring Him Red Roses
Theres a Flower Shop Down Here

I Looked Up His Address
I Got a Buss Ticket With Money I Saved
The Buss Stoped
At A Burial Site And Grave

I Looked At The Address
It Said "31 And Henry"
And Upon The Tombstone
Read "In The Loving Memory"

Hes Not a Dead-Beat Father
He Doesn't Write Or Call
Because He Isn't There
To Begin With At All

I Layed Down The Roses
And Wiped a Tear Away
Blew A Kiss As I Walked Off
Mumbling Happy Fathers Day
