Solitary By Choice

by Rosy   Apr 18, 2005

Merely a child consumed by grief
Her spirit cries out, craving unconditional love
Senses blind to the beaming hearts of those close to her
She puts up a barricade of desolation and enduring sorrow
We that care are tossed thoughtlessly into a corner
Like broken toys; unwanted, unemployed
For all she can think of are her plans of escape
From a steel cage crafted by her own two hands
